Apply now to attend the Polar Early Career World Summit (PECWS) to be hosted in Boulder, Colorado, USA from 22-24 March 2025! The deadline to submit your application is 19 November 2024, 23:59 GMT. Please note that the application for attendance and for travel funding is combined and you can indicate in the application form if you would like to apply for partial or full travel funding or for none at all.
Apply by 19 November
Participation
Participation in the summit is free, but spots are limited due to venue capacity and have to be
applied for. All early career researchers, professionals, Indigenous scholars and knowledge holders
connected to the Arctic, Antarctic, and the wider cryosphere are encouraged to apply.
Travel support
Please note that the application for attendance and for travel funding is combined
and you can indicate in the application form if you would like to apply for partial or full travel
funding or for none at all. The PECWS has limited travel funding and the organizers recommend you to
seek individual travel funding from other sources when applying.
Review
All applications will be systematically reviewed by a review panel with the aim to have a
holistically diverse group of participants. Applicants will be notified in December about whether or
not they have been granted a spot to attend the summit. Selected applicants have to confirm their
ability to attend the PECWS in person by no later than two weeks after being notified.
Online engagement
This application process is for everyone that intends to attend the event in person. The PECWS will
be complemented by alternative ways to engage in research priority discussions asynchronously and
selected parts of the summit will be made available online. If you are unable to participate
physically in-person at the summit in Boulder from 22-24 March 2025, please stay tuned as more
information on other engagement opportunities will be released in the coming months.
